It's so quiet and peaceful here
I can hear the blossoms breathe
Of the oldest Scottish appeltree
With flowers underneath
With her roots in crystal water
And her branches in pure air
It will stand another thousand years
'cause it always has been there

It's so wild and rough up here
Close to the edge
Where the hawthorns grow and the seagulls breed
Fearless on the ledge
Dangerous and fragile
High above the sea
They survive for sure another year
