UK TOUR May 2017
Tour in Wales, England and Scotland.
Like last years I will visit in May the UK again. This time my tour will be a little bit different than other years. Instead of festival I will visit this year more folk clubs. Of course I hope to see old friends and I look forward to do some gigs in Scotland.
Visiting Folk Clubs
Last autumn and winter I wrote every Folk Club in England but it was almost impossible to get paid gigs because they like to hear first the artist before they book him/her. So I decided to use the opportunity of being in the Uk to visit some Folk Clubs to introduce myself during so called 'singers nights' where I will get the chance to sing one or more songs and to present myself in the hope that I can have some bookings in the future. It is also the way I like to work because I hear often that people like my live performances.
Friends are not the people you already know, but the people you didn't meet yet ....
Visiting friends, finding new friends
I look forward to meet my Scottish friends. One of the most interesting things, one of my friends, Magii McGlynn said last year was that friends are not the people you already know, but the people you didn't meet yet. So new friends perhaps will appear in Wales and England?
Gigs in The Highlands
Like last year I will stay some days in the hills around Strathyre and Balquhidder and I play in the Mhor84 Motel. After that I go up north to Gairloch and Ullapool.
Songwriting
The Uk always gives me a lot of inspiration and ideas for songs. I hope that I can pick up the good vibes for new work.
And to be honest, this ain't working, this is pure joy!!
Lifestyle & Holidays
As Troubadour I am blessed with a lifestyle of touring and visiting other countries. Often I don't realise that actually my tours like these are holidays. Because of tight schedules there is not always time for staying two or more days in the same place. But hey you don't hear me complain at all because I think I have one of the most fantastic jobs. And to be honest, this ain't working, this is enjoying live!!
